The estate has long championed organic farming and dry farming, working without irrigation in its vineyards and allowing the growing season to dictate what ends up in the bottle. The result is a style we love: elegant, balanced and remarkably approachable wines that emphasize freshness rather than sheer power.
Frog’s Leap Winery Reds Are in Stock—and on Sale!
We love a good wine deal, especially when it comes from one of our longtime favorite Napa Valley producers. Right now, we have incredible pricing on three reds from Frog’s Leap Winery, including savings of up to 40%.
Frog’s Leap produced its first vintage in 1981 and has been a fixture in Napa Valley—and on the shelves at The Wine and Cheese Place—for decades. While Napa has become increasingly known for flashy, ultra-luxury wines, Frog’s Leap has always followed a different path. Their focus is on the land, thoughtful farming, and producing wines that reflect the character of each vintage.
The estate has long championed organic farming and dry farming, working without irrigation in its vineyards and allowing the growing season to dictate what ends up in the bottle. The result is a style we love: elegant, balanced and remarkably approachable wines that emphasize freshness rather than sheer power.
And, quite frankly, we like them even more at 25%–40% off.
We have a good supply right now, but these are closeout-style prices: when they're gone, they're gone.
2022 Frog’s Leap Fly Catcher Red Blend
SALE $19.99 | Was $29.99
The 2022 vintage marks the inaugural release of Frog’s Leap Fly Catcher, a wine that gives the winery a chance to explore exceptional vineyards beyond its traditional Napa Valley home.
The blend is 33% Zinfandel, 31% Petite Sirah, 22% Merlot and 14% Syrah, with fruit sourced from Lodi, Yorkville Highlands and Carneros.
Juicy, versatile and unmistakably Frog’s Leap in its emphasis on balance, Fly Catcher is an easy bottle to put on the table with burgers, barbecue, pizza, grilled sausages or a casual weeknight dinner.

2022 Frog’s Leap Zinfandel, Napa Valley
SALE $29.99 | Was $48.99
Forget the stereotype of massive, jammy California Zinfandel. Frog’s Leap takes a more refined, almost claret-like approach, emphasizing structure, freshness and complexity.
Wine Spectator describes the 2022 as a handsomely structured Zinfandel layered with vibrant cherry, licorice, forest floor and white pepper, finishing with fine-grained tannins. It’s delicious now but has the structure to continue developing through 2033.

2022 Frog’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford
SALE $49.99 | Was $69.99
This is classic Frog’s Leap and classic Rutherford Cabernet.
Produced from dry-farmed Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the wine spends 20 months in mostly neutral French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Rather than burying the fruit beneath new oak and extraction, Frog’s Leap allows the vineyard to take center stage.
Decanter found a darker, savory side to the 2022, with aromas of black olive, dusty earth and graphite leading into an intensely perfumed, medium-bodied palate. Freshness and balance provide an elegant counterpoint to its more muscular aromatics, creating a Cabernet that is complex, distinctive and built to age.
95 Points — Decanter
At under $50, this is a terrific opportunity to put serious Rutherford Cabernet in the cellar without paying the increasingly serious Rutherford Cabernet price.
