Back to the Future: Jim Maresh’s 2018 Maresh Vineyard Pinot and Current Releases

What we’re most excited about is a rare library release of Jim’s incredible 2018 Maresh Vineyard Pinot Noir—made even more compelling by the fact that it has been re-released at the same price as the 2023.

Jim Maresh’s wines consistently rank among the Willamette Valley’s best year after year, yet they happily continue to fly a bit under the radar. For Pinot lovers, that’s a very good thing: prices remain remarkably approachable given the quality and pedigree in the bottle.

We recently received a small shipment of Maresh’s current releases, including the 93-point 2024 Arterberry Maresh Dundee Hills Pinot Noir and the stunning 98-point 2023 Arterberry Maresh “Maresh Vineyard” Pinot Noir.

But what we’re most excited about is a rare library release of Jim’s incredible 95+ Point 2018 Maresh Vineyard Pinot Noir—made even more compelling by the fact that it has been re-released at the same price as the 2023.

The 2018 undoubtedly has a long life ahead of it, but we love where it is right now. It’s beginning to show the savory, earthy complexity and tertiary notes that come with bottle age while remaining wonderfully youthful, open-knit, and vibrant. It’s a fascinating chance to experience Maresh Vineyard Pinot with some meaningful age already behind it—without paying the usual library-release premium.

Grab them while you can.
