TWCP Single Barrel! Cask Strength
We are proud to offer this Rare Character Single Barrel Rye, bottled at a natural cask strength of 116.32 proof after 8 years and 4 months of maturation. Distilled in Kentucky from the classic 95% rye / 5% malted barley mash bill.
Rare Character does not divulge where their whiskey is distilled but this barrel is believed to originate from one of Kentucky's premier contract distilleries, Bardstown Bourbon Company. Older Kentucky-distilled 95/5 ryes are relatively uncommon (this being one of the older ones), making this a unique opportunity to taste this mash bill at an older age that was not distilled at MGP (this is a common mashbill at MGP). Shows vibrant mint and floral notes layered with baking spices, citrus, cocoa, vanilla, and mature oak, delivering exceptional depth while preserving the bold spice that defines a great rye whiskey.
TWCP Single Barrel
A very special barrel - the top floor of one of the "cult" Old Forester Warehouses!
"The 6th, 7th, and 8th floors of J Warehouse are always pretty intense." - Jackie Zykan
132.8 proof
Old Forester Single Barrel Barrel Strength from Warehouse J, Floor 7 showcases one of the distillery's most coveted aging locations. Former Master Taster Jackie Zykan has singled out the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors of Warehouse J as producing particularly intense barrels, where elevated temperatures create exceptional concentration and complexity. Bottled at a 132.8 proof, this one has a full-bodied profile of caramel, banana Foster, dark cherry, chocolate, and baking spice wrapped in a rich, viscous mouthfeel and a long oak-driven finish. For Old Forester enthusiasts, Warehouse J Floor 7 is widely regarded as one of the premier locations for exceptional barrel strength picks
Great Wheater!!
The Wine and Cheese Place is proud to offer this exclusive Augusta Single Barrel Wheated Bourbon, selected for its balance, richness, and full cask-strength character. Bottled at 111.5 proof from Barrel 26-62, this single barrel highlights the softer, rounder profile created by Augusta's wheated mash bill while delivering exceptional depth and complexity. Expect notes of caramel, honey, stone fruit, vanilla, and baking spice with a long, well-structured finish. Bottled non-chill filtered, each barrel showcases its own unique personality and the craftsmanship that has quickly made Augusta one of Kentucky's most respected emerging bourbon producers.
The Wine and Cheese Place is proud to offer this exclusive Castle & Key Wheated Single Barrel Bourbon, bottled at 111.7 proof after 8.5 years in the legendary Warehouse B. The world's longest single-aisle brick rickhouse, Warehouse B is prized for its slow, even maturation, helping develop exceptional depth while preserving the softer character of Castle & Key's wheated mash bill. Expect notes of caramel, vanilla, baked orchard fruit, toasted oak, and baking spice with a rich, lingering finish. Castle & Key's mash bill of 73% white corn, 10% white winter wheat, and 17% malted barley creates a smooth, rounded bourbon that lets the barrel shine.
TWCP Rare Single Barrel
Penelope / TWCP Project X Cherrywood Bourbon is an exceptionally rare single-barrel release. Selected as a TWCP Rare Single Barrel, Barrel #2558-1 was uniquely finished in French Cherrywood from Jura, France, imparting nuanced layers of dark cherry, baking spice, toasted oak, and subtle floral complexity. Bottled at 112 proof, the elevated proof preserves the whiskey’s full texture and concentration while allowing the exotic wood influence to shine through. Most notably, this marks the first Cherrywood-finished Penelope X bourbon ever released in the state of Missouri, making it a one-of-a-kind expression that may never be replicated.
