The Keepers Release is a one-of-a-kind expression inspired by the people who oversee the maturation of our whiskey - the true “keepers” of Maker’s Mark. These guardians are responsible for the whiskey from the moment it enters the barrel, through the 6+ years of aging, until it is ready for bottling.
They hand-rotate each barrel from the top to the bottom of the warehouses to ensure consistent aging from barrel to barrel. They endure the elements during winters and summers to ensure that every barrel of Maker’s Mark matures to the taste vision set by our founders.
