The story behind Super Seasoned Oak starts before the barrels are built. Woodford let the oak staves weather outdoors for five to seven years, giving the wood time to shed some of its harsher tannins. The resulting bourbon layers dark fruit and toasted sweetness with warming spice and a firm oak backbone.
