Rare Perfection 14 Year is a fascinating Canadian whiskey with a decidedly American whiskey pedigree. Distilled in Waterloo, Canada from a four-grain bourbon-style mash bill and filled into new charred oak barrels, the whiskey spent 14 years aging in an unusually cold, single-level warehouse. Those cool conditions dramatically slowed its interaction with the oak, allowing for extended maturation without becoming overly woody. Rare Lot #24 is bottled at a beautifully balanced 100.7 proof, showing rich notes of candied pecan, chocolate-covered walnut, hard toffee and buttercream, backed by subtle wood spice. A unique old Canadian whiskey that drinks much closer to a mature American whiskey than most people expect.
