Rare Character Tastemaker’s Reward KNF-026 is an exceptionally mature private barrel selected exclusively for The Wine and Cheese Place. Distilled in November 2016 from the famed Indiana 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley high-rye bourbon mash bill, this single barrel was allowed to mature for an impressive 9 years and 8 months before being bottled in August 2026. The extended aging brings plenty of mature bourbon character while the unusually high rye content adds spice and structure to the rich caramel, vanilla and oak profile. Bottled completely uncut at cask strength, KNF-026 comes in at a remarkably approachable 103.58 proof. This is exactly what our Tastemaker’s Reward series was created for: unique, very limited barrels that we think are worth setting aside for our customers.
