Matané was founded in 2008 by the Empson Family to highlight the incredible potential of Southern Italy’s winemaking scene. Celebrating the deep-rooted traditions and history of Salento, the wines are a tribute to the native grapes of Puglia, such as Primitivo and Negroamaro, and the unique terroir. The winery’s name comes from the names of the owners: MAria, TAra, and NEil.
