Mitans is towards the Pommard boundary and Lafarge has two plots at either end of the slope. The vineyard’s soil is brown, but not from any iron deposits. The fruit style tends to a sweeter, more candied expression here, and the wine has a richer base with a bit of a tannic edge while never actually feeling heavy. The finish feels almost airy compared to expectations.
