The third release in Hard Truth and Mellencamp Whiskey Company's four-part collectible series takes Hard Truth's Indiana-grown 72% rye, 28% corn sweet mash rye and finishes it in new, charred French oak barrels. Bottled at 104 proof from a tiny 36-barrel release, the French oak brings additional layers of caramel, toasted oak, baking spice and dark fruit to the rye's naturally rich, spicy character. Each bottle features John Mellencamp's 2020 self-portrait American Fool, making this limited release a distinctive combination of Indiana whiskey, agriculture and original Mellencamp artwork.
