The latest release in El Tesoro’s Mundial Collection brings together the tequila traditions of Mexico and the whisky craftsmanship of Japan. El Tesoro Añejo spends 12 months in casks previously used for Yamazaki 12 Year Old Japanese whisky, developing layers of dried fruit, nuts, honey, toasted almond and warm spice while maintaining El Tesoro’s distinctive cooked-agave and mineral character. The finish is long and complex with red berries, sherry, seasoned oak, clove and pepper. A particularly unique release for both tequila and Japanese whisky collectors.
