Part of El Tesoro’s limited Mundial Collection, this special Añejo brings together traditional tequila craftsmanship and American rye whiskey barrels. After 12 months in casks that previously held 7-year-old Knob Creek Rye, the tequila develops layers of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, dark chocolate, orange peel and baking spice while retaining El Tesoro’s distinctive cooked-agave character. Black pepper and seasoned oak add structure, leading to a long finish with lingering spice, oak and mineral notes. A particularly interesting crossover bottle for both tequila and American whiskey drinkers.
