Estate Malbec is from Chakana's Altamira (3,200 ft elevation) and Gualtallary (5,500 ft elevation) vineyards.

The color is deep purple, very intense, typical of Malbec. Plum, brambly berries, spices and an iris/violet note are apparent on the nose. Intense, fruity flavors with velvety tannins.

The 2022 Malbec Chakana Estate Selection aged for 12 months in 500-liter barrels and 5,000-liter foudres, followed by six months in concrete. This opens with fresh, almost green notes of plum, pennyroyal, thyme and rosehip. Juicy and plush, with a touch of chalk, it glides with agility. The 2022 is expressive, primary and unexpectedly vivid.
