Bedrock Wine Co. Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard 2024

Monte Rosso is rightly considered one of the great vineyards in California. Located in the Moon Mountain District—the Sonoma Valley side of Mt. Veeder—and planted on bright red soils, the vineyard has produced elegant, ageworthy wines since the mid-1880s. With Gallo’s significant investment and recent transition to organic farming (no small task at this scale), Monte Rosso is charging into the 21st century. Our Zinfandel blocks lie on north- and west-facing slopes and were planted in the 1880s. The resulting wine shows citrus-tinted red fruits and a bright beam of acidity. Expressive and juicy, this wine will age beautifully—but can also be enjoyed in a few years with a good decant.
