Bedrock Wine Co. was started in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson. Working out of a small converted chicken coop in a friend’s backyard, Morgan focused on making personality-filled wines wrought from a small array of thoughtfully farmed vineyards. Over time the chicken coop and its outdoor fermenters and tiny basket press gave way to production at another friend’s winery and eventually to the “elegant” tin-sided warehouse that is now called home

The 2024 Red Wine Oakville Farmhouse is totally stunning. What a wine. Succulent black cherry fruit, lavender, spice and hard candy are some of the many notes that open in the glass. The 2024 possesses striking inner perfume, with silky tannins and mind-blowing purity. It remains one of the most exotic, hauntingly beautiful wines being made in the Napa Valley today. This wild field blend, driven by Negrette along with Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Carignan, Mondeuse, Valdiguié and Black Muscat, is a vivid reminder of what Napa Valley was like before Cabernet Sauvignon became the most widely planted red variety.
