This rare bottling has all the hallmark notes of great valley tequila: straw, autumn meadow color, aromas of roasted pineapple, warm butter, baking spices, smoked pepper, and cider, flavors of viscous hot cinnamon, black pepper, sweet potato, and vanilla. This selección is made from valley plants which, once distilled into tequila, are barrel-conditioned for 5 weeks in previously held Oaxacan mezcal. This is how high-end blanco tequilas from the Tequila Valley were sometimes prepared in the early 1900s. For this reason, this expression is referred to as “Blanco Histórico.”
