Bedrock Wine Co. was founded in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson in a 550 square-foot, former chicken coop with 8 foot ceilings and no fermentation space. After six years of Bedrock being a one-man-show, Morgan was able to talk his best friend, Chris Cottrell, into moving to California from New York to join him. They now happily have a little more space to move around in but share the same objectives that guided the winery at the start.

The 2024 Zinfandel Belloni Vineyard is a total stunner. Rich and explosive, the 2024 hits the palate with copious dark-toned fruit, leather, cloves, incense and chocolate. Plush and layered, with deep, racy contours, the Belloni is exceptionally polished from start to finish. Impressive. The blend is 80% Zinfandel, the rest Alicante Bouschet, Mourvèdre and Carignan, plus smaller pieces of other varieties

Coming from old-vine Zinfandel grown northeast of Papera in sandy loam soils, the 2024 Zinfandel Belloni Vineyard is a youthful transparent ruby/magenta hue and offers aromas of blackberries, fresh plum, sweet tobacco, mint, and floral tones. Medium to full-bodied, it has incredibly refined, silky tannins and a polished texture that elevate the wine to another level. This is great. Drink over the coming 15 years or more
