For a vintage with many wines that are too big and alcoholic, this is a masterpiece of balance and precision. Very ripe red berry, Damson plum, ripe fig and summer flower aromas make this a very enticing Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Restrained power and an entire spectrum of spicy nuances on the full-bodied palate, the fine tannins gently building at the very persistent, silky finish.
