Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey – 2025 Release – 105 Proof
The Second Edition of Heaven Hill’s limited Grain to Glass series follows the whiskey all the way from the specific seed planted to the finished bourbon in the bottle. Distilled in 2018, Heaven Hill selected Beck’s 6225 corn, grown by family-owned Peterson Farms in Nelson County, Kentucky, and paired it with an unusually high-rye mashbill of 52% corn, 35% rye and 13% malted barley. The bourbon was entered into barrels at Heaven Hill’s historic 107 proof entry proof, aged for more than six years at the Cox’s Creek rickhouse site, and bottled non-chill filtered at barrel strength – 105 proof. Expect a rich combination of toasted pecans, warm oak, butterscotch, caramel, spiced apple pie, vanilla, rye spice and ginger. A fascinating Heaven Hill release that showcases just how much the choice of grain — right down to the corn seed varietal — can influence the finished bourbon.
