92% Cabernet Sauvignon | 5% Merlot | 3% Cabernet Franc
Sourced from 3 separate high-density, multi-clonal blocks planted on both the south and north slopes with elevations ranging from 960 ft to 1,180 ft. Fermented in stainless steel and concrete, then aged 22 months in 75% new French oak barriques without pressing.
Located at the top of Red Mountain, with the elevation providing a cooling effect; WeatherEye carefully selects clones, which are then planted in small-blocks. This strategic placement, coupled with a diverse array of trellising methods, is designed to extend the grapes hang time and maturation period. The result is a harvest that boasts not only intensified flavors but also a notable freshness and an array of non-fruit characteristics. WeatherEye has changed what is possible in Washington winemaking and is producing some of the best wines in the World.
