Tequila Ocho Plata is one of the benchmark terroir-driven tequilas, created by legendary distiller Carlos Camarena with the late tequila ambassador Tomas Estes. Rather than blending agave from numerous locations for consistency, Ocho highlights a different single agave field with each vintage, allowing the character of the land and harvest to come through. Bottled unaged at 80 proof, Plata is exceptionally expressive, with cooked agave, citrus, pepper and fresh herbal notes, complemented by subtle earthiness and a clean, mineral-driven finish.
