Urban Chestnut STLIPA is UCBC’s tribute to its hometown and a decidedly old-school American Double IPA. Despite the name, this is a full-strength Imperial IPA at 8.0% ABV and 55 IBUs, brewed with Cascade, Chinook, Willamette and Mt. Hood hops over Pale Ale and Munich malts. Expect a classic hop profile of grapefruit, pine, floral and herbal notes, backed by enough smooth amber malt character to balance the bitterness. A longtime St. Louis favorite, STLIPA earned Gold Medals at the 2015 and 2016 World Beer Championships—a throwback to the bold, crisp, piney American IPAs that helped define the style before hazy IPA took over
