Spaten Oktoberfest
Spaten Oktoberfest Ur-Märzen is one of Germany's classic seasonal beers, brewed by one of Munich's six historic Oktoberfest breweries. Unlike the golden Festbiers served at today's Munich Oktoberfest, the version commonly sold in the U.S. is the traditional Ur-Märzen—amber in color, richer in malt, and brewed in the classic style that made Oktoberfest famous. It offers aromas of toasted bread, caramel, and light floral hops, followed by flavors of fresh-baked bread crust, biscuit, subtle toffee, and a touch of noble hop spice. The finish is smooth, clean, and slightly dry, making it surprisingly easy to drink despite its fuller malt character.
