The 2019 Vetas Blancas Reserva Especial Sauvignon Blanc was also produced with grapes from their Talinay vineyard, which is quite large (80 hectares) and diverse, where the soils are rich in limestone. These wines are always low-ish in alcohol and have notable acidity, a sharp and pungent profile with underlying minerality and a salty finish. This was bottled unoaked after some time in stainless steel. This has great grip and is serious, mineral and salty, getting closer in style to the Talinay bottling than the Pedregoso. It's tight and has tension and a lot of power on the palate with the characteristic salty finish of the limestone soils and the influence from the sea. This shows the Tabalí character at a very good price point.
