Great new vintage of La Rousse Malbec delivers a polished, modern expression of Malbec with an emphasis on balance and varietal clarity. The nose opens with ripe blackberry and black plum, layered with violet, cocoa powder, and a subtle graphite note. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, showing fresh acidity and finely textured tannins that frame flavors of dark cherry, blueberry, and gentle spice. Any oak influence is restrained, adding hints of vanilla and toast without overshadowing the fruit. The finish is clean and persistent, making this a versatile Malbec that works equally well on its own or alongside grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and aged cheeses.
