Similar in color to the 2015, yet with just a touch less purple at the rim, the 2014 Côtes du Roussillon Villages l'Edre (60% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 10% Carignan) offers a beautifully complex, nuanced bouquet of cassis, black raspberries, seaweed/sushi wrapper and peppery herbs. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and seamless, it has good concentration and nicely integrated acidity, and is certainly one of the standouts in the vintage. Drink it anytime over the coming 7-8 years.

Amply spiced, this full-bodied red sports cherry pie and raspberry puree flavors that are ripe and rich. Bright, tangy acidity binds this all together, with details of licorice, floral and mineral rounding out the finish. Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. 280 cases made.
