The Castello di Ama style of elegance, intensity and tension has roots in its high-elevation vineyards, which range from 1,400 to 1,700 feet in the Gaiole UGA (Unità Geografica Aggiuntiva) of Chianti Classico. Wine production began in 1976, and today Lorenza Sebasti, a daughter of one of the founding families, co-owns and manages the estate with chief enologist Marco Pallanti, on board since 1982. The 2021 vintage delivered a quality benchmark for Chianti Classico, showcased in this brilliant red.
