A wine dedicated to my father, this is composed of the best lots of Zinfandel of the year. A bit poetically, the 2023 is almost entirely sourced from vineyards that Pops used during the glory years of Ravenswood Winery: Old Hill, Belloni, Teldeschi, and Monte Rosso. Flashy and expressive, this wine shows the heights that great Zinfandel can achieve. Aged in a bit more new oak than we normally use, this “super-cuvee” of sorts leans into the stylish and slightly more opulent side of Zinfandel’s personality. It should age beautifully for a long time; however, this is Zinfandel, so it can be appreciated for its pretty, pure fruit earlier in its life with a good decant." -Morgan Twain Peterson, Master of Wine
