100 % Malbec
Crafted from 100% Malbec grown on the clay-limestone soils of Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux
The color is deep ruby with violet reflections. Aromas of ripe blackberry, plum and cassis mix with floral hints of violet and a touch of black pepper & cocoa. On the palate, juicy and well-structured with velvety tannins. Dark fruit flavors are complemented by a mineral core and a long finish

From Lafite Rothschild and Catena

A nose of wild berries introduces a smooth palate, featuring enough dark fruit and freshness to make it enjoyable. A dash of herbs marks the close.

100% Malbec
Barossa Valley
Age of vines: 30 years
Blackberry compote - with distinctive spice aromas of clove, peppercorn and star anise - open this Malbec, a variety rarely seen on its own Down Under. It’s underpinned by something more floral and also more mineral and ferrous. Full figured, there’s lovely freshness, slinky, succulent dark-berry fruit and well-placed tannins: one of the strongest wines from this producer to date

The 2020 Malbec from Los Chacayes, Uco Valley was aged for 12 months in used barrels and is a dark purple hue. The attractively pure, bold nose displays plum, violet and lavender notes with secondary aromas from the aging process. In the mouth, it’s fairly smooth with gentle, juicy tannins and a tart, precise freshness that lends tension. The 2020 is a rewarding wine.
Rated 92/100 Vinous Media
Enticing aromas of cedar and violets lead to a full-bodied and smooth palate. There is a good amount of black fruit and herbs in this wine. It's juicy and has a solid structure holding it all together.

Grapes for this Malbec are grown in the Andes Mountains of Argentina, then chilled and transported by ocean voyage to Caymus, where we use our winemaking techniques to create a style that is dense, dark and supple. Falling outside standard labeling rules, Red Schooner does not include a vintage date but is known by the voyage from which it traveled (i.e. Voyage 12 is the 2022 vintage). Strikingly smooth, with scents and flavors of dark fruit and fine, textural tannins.

70% Malbec and 30% Cabernet Franc
Organic (since 2022), Biodynamic (Demeter, since 2023)
Co-fermentation of malbec and cabernet franc as both varietals ripen at the same time
Light red in color. On the nose, pepper, blackcurrant and fresh fruit on the nose. Light structure, nice acidity & freshness and soft tannins. Nice, long finish. This malbec-dominant wine is on the leaner side, and thus pairs well with pizza, pasta, risotto and is also the perfect summer BBQ companion.
