Louis Roederer Brut Collection 242

I was a bit skeptical when I first heard that Louis Roederer was moving away from it’s Brut Premier bottling and introducing a new wine called Brut Collection 242. My first thought of course was this was just a way to re-package the same wine and charge more. While the 242 is a bit more expensive than the Brut Premier was, it is more certainly not the same wine. The Roederer 242 is a spectacular Multi-Vintage blend made up predominantly of the 2017 Vintage. Important to note that Roederer did not make a Vintage wine in 2017 nor will there be a Cristal release of the 2017 vintage so the best fruit Roederer has to offer all ended up in this blend. If you are looking for a great bottle for the Holidays, or even for tonight look no further than this wonderful new expression from Louis Roederer. This wine is the real deal grab it now before it goes away.
