Randy and Debbie Lewis started their small winery in 1992 after Randy somehow walked away from a potentially fatal crash during a qualifying run for the Indy 500 a year earlier. He realized it was sign that his driving days were over, and decided to focus on his second passion: wine. Under the wing of his friend and vintner Bob Miner at Oakville Ranch, Randy was driven to produce lush, powerful, new-world style wines with fruit sourced from key sites in both Napa and Sonoma. His 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet was recognized as Wine Spectator's 2016 "Wine of the Year".

While the Napa Cabernet is considered their flagship wine, the unique Syrah-based Alec's Blend is actually our favorite wine in the portfolio. Crafted by winemaker Josh Widaman (formerly of Pahlmeyer and Chimney Rock), it always pushes the boundaries of ripeness, but still maintains a backbone of acidity, and quintessential smoky, meaty flavors. The rich fruit plays perfectly with vanilla and spice. This a must for the wine-loving grill master.
