The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Coombsville) is superb. Dark, powerful and savory, the 2016 possesses terrific power and pure gravitas to back up the intense dark fruit, savory herb and mineral flavors. Ample and full-bodied the 2016 is not a shy wine, rather it packs a serious punch. A rush of black cherry jam, bittersweet chocolate, new leather, spice and grilled herbs build into the driving, tannic finish. The 2016 needs a bit of time to settle down, but it is impressive.
