Ripe and fresh, with a racy edge to the mix of red currant, raspberry and damson plum coulis flavors, all supported by bright acidity and supple, fine-grained tannins, backed by floral mineral and rooibos tea notes on the mouthwatering finish. Best from 2020 through 2035. 366 cases made, 19 cases imported. — JM
Rated 94/100 Wine Spectator
The 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Pied de Baud blends Grenache with about 15% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault. It's a bit earthier and darker fruited than the other 2017s here, plush and round in the mouth. Full-bodied yet silky, fine and elegant, it should drink well on release and for 15 years after that.
