CONSERVATION SERIES
The Desert Door Conservation Series was created to bring attention to those individuals and organizations who have taken remarkable action in forwarding conservationism. This bottle, dubbed Pollinator, is the third in our Conservation Series.
For this year’s project, we collaborated with the Xerces Society, the largest invertebrate conservation organization in the world and home to the largest pollinator conservation team of any nonprofit.
Our latest Conservation release highlights one of the overlooked heroes of the earth’s ecosystem — the humble bee. Recently, we’ve seen an alarming decline in Texas’s bee population. The good news is there’s something simple each of us can do to help: plant more native plants. Native plants provide the pollen and nectar that are the primary food source for bees. The mesquite, persimmon, and honeysuckle featured in this special release are all native to Texas and pollinated by a native bee species.
TASTING NOTES
Pollinator features a nose blossoming with floral notes and vanilla, honeysuckle and clover. On the lips, you’ll get sensations of buttery vanilla custard, mesquite Bean and rosemary. The finish reveals persimmon, hibiscus and sage.
