Fruit for this wine is a blend of grapes from select Premier Cru vineyards throughout the appellation. Red wines from the north are light in color with soft fruit flavors; those from the central and southern areas are powerful, tannic and deeply colored. The Pinot Noir grapes are destemmed and fermented in open vats for up to one month to extract color, aroma and tannins.
